AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
DAY OF PROCEDURE:
Wipe brows every within 1HR after your procedure with the provided wipes in your aftercare kit. This will keep your brows clean and prevent heavy scabbing
BEFORE BED
Replace your pillow case for a fresh clean one
THREE DAYS POST PROCEDURE:
start applying a thin layer of healing gel to each brow using a cotton swab 2 - 3 times daily until the scabbing is finished. A little goes a long way!
UNTIL SCABBING + PEELING IS DONE:
-
Keep eyebrows dry & avoid moisture
-
Avoid sweating. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, any other activity that may cause sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results.
-
Avoid sleeping on your face or brows
-
Keep your bangs & hair pulled back from your face
-
NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for this time period, you may resume when they're healed.
FIRST 2 WEEKS
-
Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 1-2 weeks.
-
Eyebrow tinting and waxing should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.
-
avoid Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products
FIRST 4 WEEKS
-
COMPLETELY avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.
-
NO facials, chemical and laser treatments, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
You will be more sensitive at your treatment if you book 1week before and during your menstrual cycle.
We strongly advise prospective new clients to book their microblading appointments at least 3-4 months in advance of vacations, weddings, and special occasions. This allows adequate time for healing before your event.
Afterwards your brows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first two weeks. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.
Avoid Retin-A (or other retinoids), chemical peels and microdermabrasion around the brow area once healed.
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!
